The over all emphasis of the Entrance Exams is to test the Aptitude of an individual for the required purpose. C.L.A.T. as an entrance test is no different from the rest in the sense that it challenges one against the time and thus sorts out a few lucky 1100 seats for the prestigious National Law Universities.
However when it comes to the entrance test for the National Law University Delhi Exam, "TIME" plays a very very crucial role along with certain other factors. Thus one should be astute and very very acurate while solving the exam paper.

LAW : A Dream to Pursue......

To begin with this unstated assumption that Law as a career is only about wearing a black robe and shouting before the Judge makes the very concept frivolous !
There are well over 140 fields within the profession where you can make your mark. From the renowned disciplines such as Corporate Lawyers, Litigators, Judges and the Patent Experts to the less known ones { but equally rewarding} Space Laws, Environmental Law, Research Associate etc. are few among the many pearls in this garland.

However a word of caution : You Have to Work Hard !

So if I am to lay down certain prerequisite conditions for you then that would automatically translate itself into A passion for reading, not just a passive reading but an "
Active Reading" ,thereby meaning that you have to acquire the capacity to read between the lines. Hard Work is also very necessary once you enter this profession. I still have the reminiscences of Honorable Justice Sinha when he came to our university to deliver his sermon, contemplating that:

"In Law, there are two types of Lawyers: 1. Exceptionally Good Lawyers and 2. Bad Lawyers, the only point of similarity between them is : Both are not able to have their meals properly"

The Good ones are so busy making their business that they hardly get time out of their busy schedules in order to have their meals at home, whereas the unfortunate ones { and not necessarily bad ones } cannot amass enough wealth in order to have something to eat.
On various occasions we come across lawyers, who sit outside the courts with a table and stamps and occasionally a typewriter drafting lease papers or completing the basic legal formalities for petty jobs. This is not an attempt to denigrate their nature of work , however the focus is on to bring the real life picture that most of our parent's have about law as a profession.
However there are also certain people, who work with the most reputed firms in the market, providing them legal consultation and traveling in chartered crafts, staying at the five star hotels and enjoying every luxury that even Midas could possibly dream of.
What makes the difference is entirely on the efforts that one makes and the Goal that he envisions. So as an aspirant, it is our duty to keep high goals for ourselves and give our best effort in achieving them. In the words of Honorable Dr. Kalam, the ex- President of our country
"It is a sin, to dream about goals that are not worthy of pursuing."
So now is the chance, we should all rekindle the spirit within and reach for the best that we can envisage.

The best goal that one can choose here is to dream about the highest and the mightiest institutes of law in our Country. The National Law Universities are regarded with great reverences and according to the Educationists of the contemporary era; They are the IIT's and the IIM's of Law. However every law faculty and other college has played its role in shaping up the life of an individual and thus assumes a very respectable position in the legal fraternity.

The entire project is aimed at empowering YOU in order to make your place in these wonderful places which will certainly help you to make your life better in every way possible.

With these words, I open the Forum for all your doubts and discussions on all the topics whether it be pertaining to mere basic knowledge about the Subject or pertaining to the Strategies or Subjects...........

Thanx to all the students from National Law Universities across the Country and also to those dwelling abroad { yes i am talking about you Charlotte and Sam } for helping me out in my endeavours. It is my great pleasure to announce that over 42 students across various National Law Universities have extended their help in order to help the aspirants.

Kindly make the best use of this forum and lets make it an interactive platform where all of us can learn and educate ourselves.......

A Warm Welcome To One And All

Greetings to you my dear friends,

This is perhaps for the very first time that a law aspirant has taken the initiative to come and express his willingness to help and guide you through this wonderful journey called "LAW". I have been, on many such occasions, perturbed of all these commercial enterprises that have tried to balance "knowledge" with "money". More often than not, we as students of high schools before entering a Law College do not have an idea about what a Law College is all about. I shall address this question by mentioning the name of a very famous professor and one of the best mediators in the World: Professor John Shulman who came to visit the National Law University, New Delhi where I am presently a student.

The very first time he entered in our class, he asked us a simple question: "Why Law?"
There was a whole range of answers which came from all the high and mighty bunch of intellectuals: some claiming it to be an affinity towards the subjects, others frankly proclaiming it to be the incentives involved and yet others who were doing it just because their parents or their siblings were into the same profession. He gave everybody a chance and then narrated his own experience. He said " I know a person who is a J.D. from Harvard Law School {equivalent to L.L.M. in India} and who left his degree because he wanted to play football !

I also know a person who is the best buddy of the Obama's since they had both graduated from the same law school.

I also know a person who owns a corporate law company and earns close to $ 5 Million on a monthly basis and I also know a person who is an excellent documentary maker for which he had been accoladed at the Cannes Film Festival.

I also know a person who served as a key agent or mediator { in its legal sense} for the resolution of the ongoing conflict at the Gaza Strip between the Palestinians and the Israelis and his work has been acknowledged world wide.

And you would be shocked to listen to this : That all these people are ME

It was then that we realized that even after procuring a law degree you can be what you want to be and you can do what you desire to do only if you believe in your efforts and are committed to your cause. It is not the "Be All and End All " of the story . The journey begins now............

So it is immaterial whether you are a high school student or a passed out, a student studying in the national law universities or Other Law faculties, It is even immaterial whether you belong to Science Stream or Commerce or Arts: What matters is Setting the Right Goal, Tenacious Efforts to reach your goal and above all Your Will Power( which will be so frequently tested on numerous occasions) stating " bold; "I'll be Holding on to the Vision in my Eyes"

With these words , I extend a warm welcome to you all for instating your faith in me and I shall help you, guide you and even learn from you about the intrinsic beauty of this wonderful subject which is not only a part of your civics or social science class but is rather the Most reverent profession and a potent weapon through which you CAN make a difference in the life of the people.
